Jane has trained as a pharmacist, naturopath, herbalist, psychotherapist and historian and writes, consults and lectures on astrology, its history and present-day psychological and medical applications in the UK and internationally. Her practice is in Edinburgh, where she also teaches astrology. She gained a PhD from the University of Edinburgh for a thesis on seventeenth-century astrology and her best-known publication is A Handbook of Medical Astrology. Her specialities are medical, experiential and pro-active astrology.

Psychosomatic Astrology - The Body Talks - Stories that Harm, Stories that Heal

Physical symptoms can be seen as creative expressions of our charts and can act out our inner lives to an exactitude that is sometimes breathtaking. When we pay attention to our symptoms -- and combine this with the insights of astrology -- the deeper meaning and healing potential of our symptoms will become clear, and a great deal of suffering may be avoided in the process. Using case histories, this lecture will explore how.
